As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Greets and assists customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns. Maintains a presence in the store, ensuring excellent customer service. Ensures the store is clean and well-stocked. Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's direction. Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store. Helps in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling. Supports loss prevention efforts. Assumes management responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence. Follows all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives. Experience in retail management preferred. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs, and to perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling. Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, relationship management.
